Car Parks, City Quays
Port of Waterford owns and operates car parks on the South Quays in Waterford City Centre.
Operating without barriers, Merchants Quay (near the Bus Station) and Clyde Wharf (opposite the GPO) are both Pay & Display car parks – purchase a ticket from a pay station and display it on your dashboard.

The car parks are attended and monitored by CCTV, and Terms & Conditions of use apply. Enforcement by clamping operates in these car parks.

Parking may be purchased from the ticket machines located in the car parks. These accept coin, and debit & credit cards. Contactless payment panels are being rolled out in 2022.
Tariff: €2 per hour
Payment is also possible via the parkpnp app with discounts on rates for the long-stay section of Merchants Quay car park and special offers from time to time.

Update March 2022; Greenway Extension Works at Merchants Quay Car Park
Waterford Council are carrying out works in the car park over the next four months which will cause disruption to our operations. We will not be able to guarantee our usual availability of parking as a result. Payment may be only possible via the parkpnp in certain sections of the car park at certain times due to the works. If you are unable to access a parking space, you can cancel your parkpnp booking and you will receive a full refund.
